Acting For Film

The Met Film School is London's leading provider of practical filmmaking courses, based at Ealing Studios.

Course Overview

Acting For Film is our original screen acting course and has been developed for people who are serious about becoming a film actor, or wish to develop existing acting skills for the medium of film, though no previous experience is required.

Taught by an acting coach and professional film director, you will act in numerous filmed exercises that will be analysed in class so that you can learn from your mistakes and improve your performances as the course progresses. You will also learn what it is like to be on the other side of the camera by directing and acting as crew (operating the camera, recording sound) on a number of short exercises. At the end of the course, you will be given a DVD of the scenes that you and your fellow actors have acted in. If you would like a personal DVD with only your scenes, this can be edited for you at an extra cost of £300.

Please note you have to be at least 18 years old to take this course.

“The variety of tutors has been great, as you learn/grasp a wide range of opinions and techniques from each individual.  Overall it has been a fun course, as well as hard work.  We learnt so much about the industry, as well as ‘the self’.  We were taught about appropriate photos, CVs, where to look for jobs and how to get a job.”
