Motion Capture for Character Animation

The Met Film School is London's leading provider of practical filmmaking courses, based at Ealing Studios.

Course Overview

At the Met Film School we believe it’s essential to recognise and respond to cinematic trends and give students access to the production practices of the future.

With this in mind we’ve developed a Motion Capture for Character Animation course that aims to equip students with specialist skills in this area. The course is designed for those with some existing knowledge of 3D animation who are looking to further their experience in this exciting and rapidly evolving discipline.

This MoCap course addresses the technical elements of motion capture and teaches through hands-on workshops using state-of-the-art equipment on a motion capture stage. Your creative and storytelling skills will also be developed by working with actors and directors, enabling you to understand the creative principles that underpin the art of performance capture.

By working in a team you will learn the skillset required to manipulate raw motion data and attach it to 3D characters in order to realise stunning animations. This practice will give you an enhanced understanding of how to apply the skills you acquire in a creative production environment.

For more information Request A Prospectus and our enrolments team will get in touch to talk you through the course.
