Ella Vakkasova

Ella completed our One-Year Practical Filmmaking course and went on to study at the NFTS where her graduation film Let Me Speak was awarded a special prize at the Open Cinema festival in St Petersburg.

Ella is currently working on her feature project Aral, which she has pitched at the Baltic events in Tallin to a great response.  In addition the film was selected for the co-production forum in Moscow in June 1009, where is received a special prize from Gorky Film Studio who are now the film’s producing partners. Ella is currently working with Gorky and British producer – and fellow NFTS alumnus – Gavin Humphreys of Quark Films

In addition to developing her feature project, Ella has competed corporate filming and directing for Adidas, LG and Glenrothes Whisky. Ella also filmed the Britain United Adidas photoshoot of British Olympic champions, which was exhibited at the Southbank during the Beijing Olympic Games.
