Introduction to Motion Capture (Twelve Weeks, Part-Time)

The Met Film School is London's leading provider of practical filmmaking courses, based at Ealing Studios.

Course Overview

Motion Capture, or mocap, is fast becoming a film industry essential for many genres, creating astounding results in blending live action with CGI. Hot on the heels of movies such as Avatar, Lord of the Rings and The Adventures of Tintin, Met Film School believes that mocap is the future for feature film animation, in fact, a new motion capture studio has recently been established next door to us.

Our part-time Introduction to Motion Capture course will provide you with the basic understanding of how to capture, encode and work with material in a post production workflow. The course provides a maximum of four studio sessions allowing you to work with actors and learn character mocap rig setup, capturing footage for film and cleaning it up.

This comprehensive, practical, part-time course will provide you with a full range of filmmaking skills, culminating in the production of a short film which you will write, direct and edit.

For more information Request A Prospectus and our enrolments team will get in touch to talk you through the course.
