This course has been designed for budding screenwriters who have written the first draft of their screenplay but need some support improving their script and delivering a professional final draft that can be sent out to agents and producers with confidence.
Over the course of six months you will receive two industry standard reading reports, two sets of professional rewrite notes and two 2-hour one-to-ones with the course tutor, as well as four one-day screenwriting workshops and a two-month period of email consultation with your script mentor.
This is a highly selective course on which we will accept a maximum of 8 students. In order to apply for this programme, you must submit a completed first draft of your script for assessment along with a script submission form and application fee of £200. Your script will be read by an experienced professional screenwriter who will complete an industry standard reading report of your script. If you are accepted onto the programme at this stage, you will be invited to enrol on the programme and will then receive your first set of rewrite notes. If you are not accepted you will still receive a reading report and, if appropriate, will be eligible to enrol on our Write a Feature Film programme.
This professional reading and feedback report is also available as a stand-alone service. To submit your script for this service, please tick the ‘report only' box on the
Script Submission Form and send this to us along with your completed first draft and fee of £200.
Script submissions are now open for the next Towards The Final Draft programme, which begins in January 2009. To submit your script for assessment, Please send a completed
Script Submission Form along with your finished first draft script in standard format to:

You will need to submit your script by 6th December 2008 for consideration for the January 2009 programme. For further information on this course call our enrolments team on +44 (0)20 8280 9110
Please note, this course can be taken as a follow-on from our Write a Feature Film course, but this is not a pre-requisite for enrolling on Towards The Final Draft.
