Course Overview:
Have you ever acted in a school play or in amateur theatre? Would you like to find out how stage performance differs from acting in front of the camera? If you're between 14 and 17 years old and you'd like to learn how to act in the movies, then this unique acting academy has been designed for you.
The three-week course will take place at our facilities in Ealing Studios, and will be taught by a professional acting coach. You will learn acting skills as well as the technical skills necessary for you to act confidently in front of a camera. You will act in filmed exercises and also shoot exercises yourselves so that you know what it is like to be on the other side of the camera. The course will be challenging, requiring a lot of hard work from you but it will also be fun and extremely rewarding.
Learning Objectives:
If you're more interested in the filmmaking side, rather than being in front of the camera, check out our Young Filmmakers Academy

(One-Year Practical Filmmaking) was working as a runner and researcher in light entertainment TV before starting our one-year programme. She chose to study with us as, "it was the only school I found that let you write, direct and edit your own films and retain the rights to them. I loved my time at the Met, all the staff are helpful"
