Our Students

We pride ourselves on producing not only creative filmmakers, but also professionals, who are able to go straight into the industry after studying with us. A Met Film School internal survey showed that 70% of our alumni are working in the creative industries.

We have great industry links and do our best to help our ex-students on their career paths.

We catch up with our alumni on a regular basis to find out what they are getting up to since leaving their study programme. Here are a few examples of the kinds of things our students go on to do after finishing their courses.

Meet the Alumni

You can hear directly from our recent graduates about their work and their experience at the Met Film School through our Meet the Alumni blog section.

Professional Practice Certificate (PPC)

Students on our Six-Month, and One and Two-Year programmes who demonstrate discipline, communication and teamwork, management, planning and organisation skills, initiative and filmsense are awarded the unique Met Film School Professional Practice Certificate and access to our Industry Placement Scheme.

The Met Film School Industry Placement Scheme seeks to award students from our one and two-year programmes with placements within the film, television and media industries. These placements can often provide valuable experience and contacts and be a first step into a career within the creative industries.

The PPC is designed to assess students across five criteria, each of which matches transferable skills relevant for the workplace and a busy production environment. These include skills necessary for good project management such as discipline, communication and teamwork and creative strengths such as filmsense and initiative. The Professional Practice Certificate is assessed by tutors, peers and student self-assessment and awarded after a process of reviewing a portfolio submitted by students.
