Met Film School Graduate Showcase 2008

Film Studio

On 18 February 2008, the Met Film School held its first ever Graduate Showcase at the BFI Southbank. Over 70 film industry professionals from across London and beyond came along to watch a selection of student films from our BA Film, One-Year Practical Filmmaking, From Story To Screen In Eight Weeks and Documentary Filmmaking courses.

The event was a great success and the films were immensely well received by all who attended. Matthew Bates of Sayle Screen commented: "It was great to have such a variety of films and great to see some passionately-told stories and unique voices.  It's obvious, too, that people have put in an amazing amount of work."

Congratulations to all students whose films were screened and we are already looking forward to showcasing another excellent set of films in 2009!

Alex Tanner

(Story To Screen In Eight Weeks) went on from the Met to work at Ealing Studios production company Fragile Films as a runner on their recent feature I Want Candy. He worked for a while in their production department before taking a role in development at the UK Film Council. He is now working for Met Film sister company Slingshot in script development and production.
