Met Graduate Shortlisted For Filminute 2007

Filminute, the international one-minute film festival, have announced that One-Year Practical Filmmaking graduate Armen Antranikian's film One Minute Guide to Planet Earth has made the 2007 Filminute shortlist. Approximately 800 films from 45 countries were screened before narrowing down to this year's shortlist of 25 films. An international jury consisting of luminaries from the fields of filmmaking, literature, art and communications is responsible for the awarding of BEST FILMINUTE.

The film has also been reviewed by EYE WEEKLY as one of their six top picks from this year's shortlist: http://www.eyeweekly.com/filminute2007/?p=8.

Audiences worldwide are invited online to view and vote for the People's Choice Award until September 30, 2007. You can view and vote for Armen's film at www.filminute.com. Please check out the film and if you like it, vote for it to win and support your fellow Met alumni.

Congratulations to Armen, and good luck! We will update you next month on how he gets on...

Gabriel Tupinamba
