Carefully chosen by NFT programmer Geoff Andrew and a number of his colleagues at the BFI, this selection of 50 films aims to move away from the usual list of tried and tested poll-leaders and provide a more up-to-date and open-minded assessment of film history to date. The season aims to challenge and critique the unquestioning canonical nature of many 'all-time-best' lists, whilst introducing filmgoers to many masterpieces, artists, styles and areas of filmmaking they may not already be familiar with.
To find out more about February screenings, please see the NFT website.
